Analisis Penerapan Sistem Informasi Manajemen dalam Pengelolaan Data Mahasiswa

Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat menuntut perguruan tinggi untuk mengelola data akademik secara efektif, efisien, dan terintegrasi. Penggunaan Sistem Informasi Manajemen (SIM) menjadi solusi dalam mengoptimalkan pengelolaan data mahasiswa yang mencakup aspek akademik, keuangan, dan administrasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan SIM dalam pengelolaan data mahasiswa di perguruan tinggi, mengidentifikasi manfaat yang dihasilkan, serta meninjau kendala yang dihadapi dalam implementasinya. Metode yang digunakan berupa studi literatur dan analisis deskriptif terhadap penerapan SIM di lingkungan pendidikan tinggi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa SIM mampu meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, akurasi data, dan kemudahan akses informasi secara real-time, sehingga mendukung proses pengambilan keputusan berbasis data. Namun, penerapan sistem ini masih menghadapi beberapa kendala seperti keterbatasan infrastruktur teknologi, kurangnya sumber daya manusia yang terampil, serta resistensi terhadap perubahan sistem manual ke digital. Dengan demikian, optimalisasi SIM memerlukan dukungan sumber daya, pelatihan, dan kebijakan manajemen yang berkelanjutan agar pengelolaan data akademik di perguruan tinggi semakin efektif dan berkualitas.
