The Implementation of School Curriculum in Teaching English



Abstract : This research is aimed to describe the implementation of KTSP in teaching English at the second year of SMA N 1 Banyudonowhich is viewed from the learning activity in English lessons, the evaluation system the schoolused and the teaching materials. In addition, the other aim is to identify the strengths and the weaknesses in the KTSP implementation in teaching English at the second year of SMA N 1 Banyudono. This study was conducted at SMA N 1 Banyudonoin May 2012. In this study, the researcher applied a descriptive qualitative method to describe  the  KTSP  implementation  in  teaching  English.  The  techniques  of collecting the data in this study were observation, interview and document analysis. In analyzing the data, the researcher applied interactive analysis method; data reduction, data display and conclusion drawing. The outcomes of the study show that the implementation of KTSP in teaching English of SMA N 1 Banyudono in the academic year of 2011/ 2012 was well conducted.
